A fire in a garden spread to a nearby speed camera.

Crews from Highfields station were called to a fire which had broken out in Farfield Avenue in Beeston at around 10.40am yesterday (Tuesday, April 19).

The blaze in a garden had spread to a nearby hedge, damaging the plants, street furniture and a nearby speed camera.

Fire fighters were equipped with two breathing apparatus to hose out the flames with two hose reel jets.
