WRAL SmartShopper Faye Prosser and I have teamed up for a fun little video series we’re calling WRAL Mom Talk, which is debuting today.

As always, we had a blast getting together and talking shop. We’re excited to share it with you!

In one of the first videos, we share tips on clothes shopping for our kids. I talk about consignment sales. The spring and summer season is just behind us, but the fall and winter season of sales is coming up as early as July for the massive Kids Exchange sale at the N.C. State Fairgrounds. That’s where I believe I picked up that cute little dress for $4 not so long ago.

And Faye shares tips on something she knows all about – finding deals for her teen girls. With two girls of my own, you better believe I was taking notes!

And, in another video, we chat food shopping with kids. Faye, of course, has some great tips on helping kids help you find the deals. And I tell a funny story about one of my kids – who finally got the hint that she wasn’t going to get any of the toys and candy at the Target checkout. Stand firm, moms!
