Martin’s Home & Garden in Murfreesboro has been named one of the best and largest independent garden centers in the United States and Canada by Garden Center magazine.

Martin’s Home & Garden ranked No. 78 on the 2018 Garden Center Top 100 Independent Garden Centers list, which was published in September. This is the fourth time that the Murfreesboro business has made the Top 100 list.

“Our Top 100 list includes some of the best and brightest leaders in the garden center industry,” Garden Center editor Michelle Simakis said. “In addition, we featured 17 of these companies from across our list and across the country to find out what makes them successful.”

Martin’s Home & Garden was one of the 17 companies to be featured in a profile in the magazine.

“We’re honored to be part of the Top 100,” Martin’s Home & Garden General Manager Jason Peace said. “We couldn’t have done it without our fantastic team and incredible customers.”

The Garden Center Top 100 is based on 2017 sales volume from independent garden centers as reported by each company. Companies on the Top 100 list earned combined revenues of more than $1.2 billion in 2017. The list includes companies from 32 states; seven garden centers are from Canada.
