Samsung’s Galaxy J1 (2016) smartphone made a brief appearance at one of the company’s physical retail partners in Dubai back in January. The company however made no announcement regarding the launch at that time.

Samsung has now made the Galaxy J1 (2016) official in Russia. The smartphone has been listed on the company’s site without pricing and availability details. In January, the physical retailer had suggested a price tag of AED 499 (roughly Rs. 9,000) though we can expect that to change considering current market conditions as well as currency exchange rates.

The official listing of the Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) comes hours after the Samsung Galaxy J1 mini waslisted on the company’s Philippines site. Just like the Galaxy J1 (2016), there was no word on the specifications and pricing of the Galaxy J1 mini.
