A local non profit gave two Eugene men the key to their new tiny home today.
snow in the upper elevations it’s the season to give…and today — a local non-profit and donors gave two eugene residents homes… as kezi 9 news reporter jeanette quezada spoke to the new residents today, and shows us what it means to them, to be home for christmas. “nats: sigh.very special christmas is a very special time of the year. it’s a time when many go home. but gilbert hayes — a year ago, home looked very different. sot: “i had conversion van so i ended up in that.” squareone villages local non-profit is changing that. they are giving him and his pet seidi a place to call home. nats: awarding the keys through a project called emerald village eugene. nats: “haha… can’t imagine it being more special.” they awarded hayes th keys to his brand new tiny home on saturday … it’s one of 22 homes square villages is working on. their goal is to provide housing to families from low-income backgrounds. “it’s nice to give the hous before christmas. it’s an important time of year to be generous and spread joy making this year — an unforgettable christmas
