Merchant: Grubhub · What this page covers: whether there is a working Grubhub promo code, how Grubhub+ membership and its pickup credit work, the free Grubhub+ offer for Amazon Prime members, Grubhub+ Student, the no-fee rule on larger restaurant orders, and the fine print in Grubhub’s Perks terms · Sources: Grubhub’s own pages, listed under Offer provenance.
Is there a Grubhub promo code right now? We did not find a public, sitewide code on Grubhub’s own pages that is still running. The last public code Grubhub announced itself, FEERETURN10 ($10 off a first restaurant order of $50 or more for new diners), was part of a promotion that ran through April 15, 2026, so we list it as expired. What still saves money without a code: Grubhub says it charges no delivery fee and no service fee on restaurant orders of $50 or more, Grubhub+ is free for U.S. Amazon Prime members who link their accounts, and Grubhub+ members earn 5% back as credit on eligible pickup orders.
Most Grubhub discounts are account-specific: codes arrive by email or in the app, belong to one account, and usually work once. Grubhub’s Terms of Use also bar users from republishing codes, one reason copied codes so often fail. The durable savings come from membership perks, fee thresholds, and card credits.

The $50 no-fee rule: the simplest saving on Grubhub
Grubhub’s newsroom describes a standing policy of no delivery fees and no service fees on restaurant orders of $50 or more. Grubhub’s brand team called it “a sustained value commitment,” not a short promotion, and its later press releases said limited-time offers could be combined with it. You do not need a code or a membership for it.
Example (our math, not a Grubhub quote): If your cart sits a few dollars under $50, adding a side or a drink you would actually eat to cross the line can cost less than the delivery and service fees it removes. Grubhub’s pages we could read did not say whether $50 is measured before or after discounts, so a code that drops your subtotal below $50 could bring the fees back. Tax and tip still apply.
How Grubhub+ works
Grubhub+ is Grubhub’s paid membership. Grubhub’s Gold Days press release gave the regular price as $9.99 a month plus tax (“currently,” so it can change), and the Membership Terms say the fee is “the then-current membership fee.” Per those terms and Grubhub’s own descriptions, members get:
- $0 delivery fees on eligible orders from eligible restaurants that meet a minimum subtotal shown in the app. The Amazon Prime offer page puts that minimum at $12; individual restaurant menus show their own minimums.
- Lower service fees on eligible restaurant delivery orders. Other fees, such as small-order or driver benefits fees, are not discounted unless an offer says so.
- 5% back on eligible pickup orders as Grubhub+ Credit, calculated on the subtotal before taxes, tips, and fees.
- Member-only offers at selected restaurants, flagged “GH+” in the app.
- Discounted priority delivery and $0 delivery on Instacart-powered grocery orders, per Grubhub’s Gold Days release.
The terms exclude orders through Grubhub Direct, Grubhub kiosks, and LevelUp-powered sites, most Instacart grocery offers beyond the standard delivery fee, and catering, scheduled team, and on-campus orders, which “may not qualify.” Corporate accounts may not be eligible.
Renewal and cancellation: memberships renew automatically. You need to cancel at least 24 hours before the next charge, in the app or on grubhub.com, and you keep benefits through the end of the paid period. The terms say members generally “are not eligible for refunds” on Grubhub+ charges. Free trials convert to paid membership unless you cancel before the trial ends, and Grubhub allows one promotional offer per account and household.
Is the 5% pickup credit worth much?
Our math, using Grubhub’s published numbers: 5% of a $30 pickup subtotal is $1.50 in credit. To earn back a $9.99 monthly fee from pickup credit alone, you would need about $200 of pickup subtotal a month ($9.99 ÷ 0.05 = $199.80). The membership pays off mainly through skipped delivery fees on orders under $50; above $50, the no-fee rule already covers everyone. Note the credit rules: it expires 90 days after the most recent credit is issued, cannot be cashed out or transferred, and cannot be used on orders containing alcohol or on most on-campus dining orders.
Grubhub+ free with Amazon Prime
Grubhub’s partner page says active, authenticated Amazon Prime members in the U.S. can get Grubhub+ with no membership fee after linking their Amazon and Grubhub accounts. The benefits match Grubhub+: $0 delivery fees and lower service fees on eligible delivery orders over $12, 5% back on eligible pickup orders, and GH+ member offers. Activation runs through Amazon’s Grubhub offer page.
Key rules from the partner page and the Membership Terms:
- It does not convert into a paid membership.
- If you already pay for Grubhub+, signing up through Prime cancels the paid plan; the Prime-linked membership starts the day after your current billing cycle ends.
- Cancelling or pausing Prime ends the Grubhub+ benefits. If you resume Prime, you must reactivate through Amazon.
- To end it, unlink the accounts under “Manage apps & services with data access” in your Amazon account, or contact Grubhub.
Grubhub states that “Active Prime Grubhub+ members save an average of $336 a year,” based on members who ordered at least monthly for 12 months. That is Grubhub’s figure; yours depends on how often you order.
Grubhub+ Student and campus dining
Grubhub’s campus page describes Grubhub+ Student for active students, faculty, and staff at schools in Grubhub Campus Dining. You select your campus in the app and register your campus card. The page lists $0 delivery fees on orders with a subtotal of $18 or more at Grubhub+ eligible restaurants and a free trial “for a limited time only,” without a price or trial length. For other student programs, see our student discounts master list.
How Grubhub promo codes really work
Grubhub’s Perks Terms of Use govern every promotion, coupon, and reward on the platform. The rules that matter most:
- Discounts come off food and drink. Promotions “generally” cannot be applied to tax, tip, or fees, including service and delivery fees, unless the offer is itself a fee offer such as free delivery.
- One-time use is the norm. Promotions are “typically limited to one-time use,” and each perk can carry its own limits, minimums, and audience (for example, first-order-only).
- Combining is not guaranteed. Grubhub says you “may not be able to combine” a reward or promotion with other discounts, and it decides the order in which promotions, promo codes, gift cards, and credits apply.
- Codes are tied to your account. Only the account owner can redeem them, they cannot be transferred or made public, and Grubhub allows one account per branded property.
- Expired means worthless. “Expired Rewards and Promotions have no value,” and Grubhub does not issue promotions retroactively for orders already placed.
- Refunds can claw back discounts. A cancelled or refunded order may prorate the promotion used on it.
Example (our math, using FEERETURN10’s published terms): $10 off a $50 order was a 20% discount at the minimum, and a smaller share above it: on a $70 order it was about 14%. Grubhub said its $50+ promotions could be combined with the no-fee rule. A new-diner code always works only on a first order, so a household that already has an account generally cannot use one.
How to save at Grubhub without a promo code
- Build orders to $50 or more when it makes sense, to remove delivery and service fees.
- If you have Amazon Prime, link it to Grubhub for a free Grubhub+ membership before paying for one.
- Use the GH+ filter in the app to find member-only restaurant offers.
- If you hold an American Express Gold Card, enroll in its dining credit; the card page lists up to $10 a month in statement credits at Grubhub, including Seamless.
- Check your account’s offers and emails; Grubhub’s targeted codes appear there, not on public pages.

What we could not verify
- Any currently active public Grubhub promo code. We found none on Grubhub’s own pages that had not already ended.
- The full terms of the $50 no-fee rule: whether $50 is measured before or after discounts and tax, which restaurants are excluded, and whether small-order or other fees still apply. Grubhub’s terms page for it did not load for us.
- The current price of Grubhub+. The $9.99 monthly figure comes from a Grubhub press release that called it the current rate; Grubhub’s main membership page did not render for us, and the terms do not list a price.
- Whether the Grubhub+ delivery minimum is $12 for every paid member. The Amazon Prime page says $12, the student page says $18, and the terms say each restaurant shows its own minimum.
- The price and trial length of Grubhub+ Student.
- Details of a Bilt partnership listed on Grubhub’s newsroom (Bilt Cash redeemable for Grubhub credit). The article itself did not load for us.
- Whether any Grubhub military, teacher, or senior discount exists. We did not find one on Grubhub’s pages.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use more than one Grubhub promo code on an order?
Do not count on it. Grubhub’s Perks terms say you may not be able to combine a promotion with other promotions or discounts, and Grubhub decides the order in which codes, credits, and gift cards apply.
Why did my Grubhub promo code not work?
The usual reasons under Grubhub’s terms: the code expired, it was issued to a different account, it is limited to first orders, your subtotal is below its minimum, the restaurant or order type (catering, corporate, campus) is excluded, or you already used it once.
Is Grubhub+ free with Amazon Prime?
Yes, for active Amazon Prime members in the U.S. who link their accounts, according to Grubhub’s partner page. It does not convert into a paid plan, and it ends if you cancel or pause Prime.
Do Grubhub promo codes reduce fees and tips?
Generally no. Grubhub’s Perks terms say standard discounts come off the food and beverage subtotal before tax, tip, and fees. Only fee-specific offers, such as free delivery, reduce a fee.
