Texas Roadhouse Coupons: Is There a Promo Code? VIP Club Free Appetizer, Birthday Goodies and Gift Card Specials

Merchant: Texas Roadhouse · What this page covers: whether Texas Roadhouse has promo codes, what the VIP Club actually sends you, how gift card specials and bulk gift card discounts work, the Veterans Day meal program, Early Dine, and why menu prices differ from one restaurant to the next · Sources: Texas Roadhouse’s own pages, listed under Where these offers come from.

Is there a Texas Roadhouse coupon code? Not that we could find. None of the Texas Roadhouse pages we reviewed listed a promo code for online or to-go orders, and the company’s help page points guests to its VIP Club, not to codes, as the way to get offers. What actually saves money: joining the free VIP Club (Texas Roadhouse says new members get a free appetizer within 24 to 48 hours, plus “goodies” every year on their birthday and on their sign-up anniversary), buying gift cards during the holiday specials the company says it usually runs, and, for businesses, the 10% discount on gift card orders of $1,000 or more.

Texas Roadhouse is a full-service steakhouse chain without a rotating code menu. Most of its savings arrive by email or text after you sign up, or are set by your local restaurant, so codes posted elsewhere deserve suspicion; our guide to fake coupon site red flags explains why.

Why there is no Texas Roadhouse promo code

The company’s help page answers the “how do I get free offers?” question with one route: the VIP Club. It does not mention promo codes. The same help page also says plainly, “We do not have a reward program with our mobile app,” so there are no app points to collect either.

If a site shows a “Texas Roadhouse promo code” with a percentage off your whole order, there is nothing on Texas Roadhouse’s own pages to back it up.

How the VIP Club works

The VIP Club is Texas Roadhouse’s email and text list. It is free, and it is the closest thing the chain has to a rewards program.

What you get

  • Welcome offer: The help page says, “Sign up for our VIP Club you will receive a free appetizer within the first 24-48hrs.” The sign-up page itself calls this a “special welcome gift” delivered within 48 hours.
  • Birthday and anniversary: “you will receive goodies every year on your birthday and anniversary of sign-up date.” Texas Roadhouse does not spell out on these pages what the birthday or anniversary goodie is, so we cannot tell you whether it is an appetizer, a dessert, or something else.
  • Local extras: The help page adds that members also get whatever extras their chosen location sends out.

What the sign-up asks for

  • First and last name, email address, a ten-digit mobile number, ZIP code, birthday month and day, state, and a favorite location. Because you pick a home restaurant, some offers are tied to that location.
  • A yes/no question asking whether you are 21 or older.
  • Agreement to the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Notice of Financial Incentive, and Loyalty Program Terms of Use.
  • Marketing texts are optional. The page says consent “is not required as a condition of purchase,” and you can text STOP to 68984 to unsubscribe. The help page also says you can join by texting VIP to 68984.

What this is worth (our reasoning, not a Texas Roadhouse figure): A welcome offer plus birthday and anniversary mailings means at least three member offers in the first year and two each year after. Texas Roadhouse publishes no dollar values, and appetizer prices vary by location, so we will not put a dollar figure on it.

Gift card specials and bulk discounts

Holiday bonus cards

Texas Roadhouse says, “Our gift card specials normally run during the holidays.” When a special is running, the gift card page explains that bonus e-gift cards are emailed after “a qualifying purchase during a gift card promotion.” At the time we checked, no current promotion, bonus amount, or purchase threshold was listed, so we are not quoting one. Bonus terms such as when the bonus card becomes usable and when it expires were not published on the gift card page either; read them on the promotion when it appears.

For bonuses from an in-restaurant purchase, the company says to check with that location; emailed cards come from a CashStar address, so check spam if one does not arrive. For the timing of the big holiday shopping windows, see our big deal days calendar and Black Friday deals guide.

Buying in bulk

For companies buying gifts for employees or clients, the gift card page offers a “10% discount on orders of $1,000 or more,” placed through its Buy in Bulk business portal, with the option of adding a company logo or custom image.

Example (our math, not a Texas Roadhouse quote): A $1,000 order of gift cards at 10% off would cost $900, a $100 saving. Since Texas Roadhouse says gift cards can be bought “in any increment from $5-$100,” that order could be ten $100 cards or forty $25 cards. Below $1,000 the discount does not apply under the published terms: a $900 order gets nothing off. We could not see whether the business portal adds shipping or handling fees, so confirm the final total before paying.

Other gift card facts worth knowing

  • Physical cards ordered online can be slow; the company warns of “long delays” and recommends e-gift cards when timing matters.
  • Cash back on small balances is “Not in most cases,” but some states require it. Examples the page gives: California under $15, Texas under $2.50, and several states under $5.
  • The gift card page says Texas Roadhouse donates 10% of gift card sales to the Family Scholar House. That is a donation, not a discount to you.

Veterans Day meals for veterans and active military

Texas Roadhouse’s Community Impact page says the company offers “free meals to veterans and active military members across the country” on Veterans Day. The page does not say how this year’s program works, what proof of service is needed, whether it is dine-in, to-go, or a voucher for a later visit, or which menu items are included. We could not find a current Texas Roadhouse announcement with those details, so we list it as merchant-listed with details not yet published. Check the company’s site and your local restaurant closer to the holiday, and see our military discounts master list for other year-round options.

We found no everyday military, senior, student, or teacher discount published on Texas Roadhouse’s own pages. Our senior discounts master list covers chains that do publish one.

Early Dine and local specials

Many diners search for the Texas Roadhouse Early Dine menu. We could not find an Early Dine page on Texas Roadhouse’s website, and the location pages we sampled did not list Early Dine days, hours, items, or prices. Each location page has a “What’s Popular Here” section with headings for local specials (for example a kids night and a midweek special), but at the time we checked, the text under those headings was the same generic description at every location we looked at, with no days, times, or prices.

The company’s help page says individual restaurants “might offer specials specific to their location,” and hours differ too: restaurants we sampled open at 3 PM or 4 PM on some weekdays. If Early Dine matters to you, ask your local restaurant for the days, time window, and price.

Why Texas Roadhouse prices differ by location

Texas Roadhouse’s help page is direct: “Prices vary by location.” Its main menu page does not show prices; to see them, you pick a restaurant on the Locations page and start an online order. In its most recent quarterly results release, the company also said its expected comparable sales growth includes “the benefit of menu pricing actions,” so price lists you find elsewhere may be out of date. Any article quoting one national Texas Roadhouse price for a steak or appetizer is giving you an estimate at best.

How to save at Texas Roadhouse without a coupon

  • Join the VIP Club before your next visit so the welcome appetizer offer arrives in time, and set your real birthday.
  • Check your home restaurant’s page or call it for local specials such as kids nights or early dining.
  • Buy gift cards you already plan to give during the holiday specials, and read the bonus card terms when the promotion appears.
  • For company gifts, group orders to reach the $1,000 bulk threshold for 10% off.
  • Price-check your order online for your specific location before you go, since prices vary.
  • Pair gift cards with a cash-back credit card; our guide to stacking coupons, cashback, and rewards explains how layering works in general.

What we could not verify

  • Any Texas Roadhouse promo code. None appeared on the pages we reviewed.
  • What the birthday and anniversary “goodies” are, and whether they require dine-in or a purchase.
  • Expiration windows for the welcome appetizer, birthday, and anniversary offers. The Loyalty Program Terms of Use page did not render its text for us.
  • Whether the 21+ question on the sign-up form restricts membership or only some offers.
  • Current holiday gift card bonus amounts, thresholds, dates, and bonus card restrictions. None were posted when we checked, and we do not quote amounts reported by coupon sites.
  • Whether the bulk gift card portal adds fees.
  • This year’s Veterans Day details: date format, proof of service, menu, and whether it is in-restaurant or a voucher.
  • Early Dine days, hours, menu, and prices at any location.
  • Any standing military, senior, student, or teacher discount.
  • Menu prices at any specific restaurant.
