Discount Code for AutoZone: How SAVINGS4YOU, AutoZone Rewards and Free Store Services Actually Work

Is there a discount code for AutoZone? Sometimes, yes. AutoZone publishes its own online promo codes on its deals and savings pages. The one listed on its savings page is SAVINGS4YOU, for 20% off eligible ship-to-home orders of $100 or more, with an end date of 11/7/2026. These codes are online-only, and they leave out batteries and several other categories. For most people, the steadier savings come from AutoZone Rewards (a $20 Reward after five qualifying purchases), the in-cart oil-and-filter bundles, and the free store services that keep you from paying a shop for a diagnosis.

Below is what AutoZone itself publishes, how each offer works, and the math on what it saves. Every status label follows our verification standards. We have not tested any of these codes at checkout.

The SAVINGS4YOU code: what it covers and what it doesn’t

AutoZone’s savings page lists SAVINGS4YOU as an online-only coupon for 20% off when you spend $100, with an end date of 11/7/2026. Its fine print limits it to Ship to Home orders, so it does not apply to Same Day Delivery or to buying online and picking up in store. The listed exclusions are batteries, overweight and oversized items, and certain brands. It is limited to one per customer.

The math is simple. A $100 cart of eligible parts drops to $80. A $160 cart drops to $128, saving $32. Because batteries are excluded, the code does nothing for one of AutoZone’s most common big purchases. If your cart is a battery plus a few small items, the battery doesn’t count toward the discount and may not count toward the $100 minimum either.

The banner says “orders over $100” but the hero image says “Spend $100,” so at exactly $100.00, confirm the discount appears before paying.

AutoZone’s general terms say offer conditions can vary, and that the terms for each offer are the ones shown with it. Older AutoZone codes have had the same structure. The fall partner coupon ALLFALL2025 ($7 off $30, expired 11/30/25) excluded sale-priced items, Loan-A-Tool, core charges, gift cards and batteries. Expect current codes to apply to regular-priced merchandise only.

AutoZone Rewards: how credits turn into $20

AutoZone Rewards is free to join online, in the app or at a store. According to the Rewards Program Rules, any in-store, online or buy-online-pick-up-in-store transaction of $20 or more earns one credit. Five credits automatically become one $20 Reward.

What doesn’t count toward the $20

The $20 minimum is measured after removing taxes, shipping charges, product discounts, core deposits, Loan-A-Tool deposits, loaner battery deposits, environmental fees, gift card purchases, and anything paid for with a Reward. A $21 receipt where $3 is tax does not earn a credit. Commercial accounts can’t join.

The real return

If every visit is exactly $20 of qualifying merchandise, you spend $100 to earn $20, which works out to 20% back. Most people don’t shop that way. Five visits averaging $60 is $300 spent for the same $20 Reward, or about 6.7%. The program rewards how often you buy more than how much you spend. That’s why AutoZone’s rules forbid splitting one in-store visit into several transactions to collect extra credits.

Expiration rules that matter

  • Credits expire 365 days after they are issued. Five purchases spread over more than a year will never add up to a Reward.
  • Rewards expire 90 days after they are issued. Bonus Rewards follow the terms of their own promotion. AutoZone notes that these expiration rules don’t apply to members who enrolled in Maine.
  • Membership expires after twelve months with no activity, and any credits and Rewards on the account go with it.
  • Rewards can’t be exchanged for cash, can’t be used to buy gift cards, and can’t be combined with other AutoZone promotional offers.

If you forget to give your phone number at the register, you can ask for credit afterward with your receipt. There are limits: the purchase must be 3 to 90 days old and made after you enrolled, and you get two requests per month.

Bonus Reward deals

The deals page tells members they can unlock “up to $58” in Bonus Reward deals. These add extra Reward dollars when you buy specific products. AutoZone doesn’t publish a list of which products qualify or when each bonus ends, and its rules say some Bonus Rewards can only be used in stores. Check the offer details in the app before you buy something just to get the bonus.

Oil change specials: the free filter bundle

AutoZone’s oil change specials page lists deals valid from October 20 to November 16, 2026. Buy a qualifying 5-quart oil (STP, Mobil 1, Castrol, Valvoline or Pennzoil lines) and get a matching filter free. For most of the synthetic oils, that filter is an STP Extended Life. VR1 comes with a K&N filter, and some Mobil 1 lines come with a Mobil 1 filter.

The page doesn’t publish oil or filter prices, and it says prices vary by store and by customer. To see your actual savings, set your vehicle on the site, add the oil and the filter to your cart, and check that the filter shows as $0. The page also lists DIY bundles at $4 (6-quart drain pan and funnel), $8 (adds shop towels and hand cleaner) and $14 (11-quart pan version). Ad prices can’t be combined with other offers, quantities are limited, and dealers are excluded.

If you’d rather pay someone to do the oil change, compare a DIY bundle against shop pricing in our guides to Valvoline oil change coupons, Jiffy Lube coupons and Take 5 Oil Change coupons.

Other multi-buy deals on the deals page

  • Brakes: free brake pads when you buy two Duralast Gold brake rotors. The discount appears once both are in your cart. The footnote with the terms wasn’t readable on the page we checked.
  • Shocks and struts: $20 off two Duralast shocks or struts, or $50 off four.
  • Gloves: 10 pairs for $8, regularly $16.99, when you spend $75 on a home-delivery order. That’s $8.99 off if you were buying gloves anyway.

None of these lists an end date, so we label them “last seen active” rather than guaranteed.

Free services: battery testing, Fix Finder and Loan-A-Tool

These aren’t discounts, but they can save more money than a coupon would.

  • Battery testing and charging: AutoZone says battery tests are available at every US store, and its fast charger handles most car batteries in about 30 minutes. Power sport batteries can take as long as overnight. AutoZone also advertises free installation, marked “restrictions apply,” but it doesn’t publish the restrictions.
  • Fix Finder (check engine light): the store will read your check engine code and give you a free report. Alternators and starters can also be tested for free. AutoZone says services vary by location, available staff and vehicle.
  • Loan-A-Tool: borrow a specialty tool by paying a deposit equal to the tool’s purchase price. Return it undamaged within 90 days for a full refund, at any store or by mail if you ordered it online. Your money is only tied up, not spent. Keep the tool and the deposit becomes the purchase price.
  • Recycling: used oil and oil filters are accepted free. Bringing in a qualifying lead-acid battery without buying a new one earns a $10 merchandise credit for your next visit. The limit is 10 per customer per day at participating stores. Lawn and garden, motorcycle and personal watercraft batteries don’t qualify, and neither do batteries returned for a core deposit refund.

Military and first responder discounts

AutoZone does not publish a military, veteran or first responder discount program on its site. We found no program page and no terms for one. Its privacy policy does mention using military status “to provide you with discounts (military service only),” but AutoZone doesn’t explain what discount that refers to or how to get it. Some individual stores may offer something locally, so ask at your store. If a guaranteed military discount matters to you, Tractor Supply publishes one, and so do several oil change chains covered in our guides.

Price matching

We found no published AutoZone price match policy on any AutoZone page we checked, so don’t plan on one. If a store agrees to match, that’s its own call, not written policy.

How to save at AutoZone without a coupon

  • Always use your Rewards number, including on online and pick-up orders. Keep each qualifying purchase above $20 before tax.
  • Use the Reward within 90 days. An expired $20 Reward saves you nothing.
  • Get a diagnosis before buying parts. A free code read or battery test can stop you from buying a battery or alternator you don’t need.
  • Borrow specialty tools through Loan-A-Tool instead of buying one you’ll use once.
  • Return your old battery for the core credit when you buy a new one, or for the $10 merchandise credit when you aren’t buying.
  • Build the cart before you pay. Bundle deals like the free filter and the brake pads only show up once both items are in the cart.
  • Compare against other stores for tools and shop supplies. Our Harbor Freight coupon guide covers how that store’s codes work. For repairs you won’t do yourself, see Firestone Complete Auto Care coupons.

What we could not verify

  • The full footnote text for SAVINGS4YOU, the brake pad offer and the gloves offer. AutoZone’s pages reference these footnotes but didn’t show their text to us.
  • End dates for the Bonus Reward deals, the brake and shocks multi-buys, the gloves offer and the “up to 45% off” Halloween event. We list the Halloween event as unverified because we couldn’t find its terms or end date.
  • Prices for the oil-and-filter bundles, which AutoZone says vary by store and customer.
  • Whether AutoZone offers a military discount at the register, despite the mention in its privacy policy.
  • Any price match policy.
  • Battery installation restrictions and core charge amounts.
