Carmine’s Coupons & Discounts: There’s No Promo Code — Here’s How to Actually Spend Less

Last checked: September 8, 2026 · Merchant: Carmine’s Italian Restaurant — Times Square and Upper West Side (NYC), Atlantic City, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, and Atlantis, Bahamas

Search “Carmine’s coupons” and you will find a stack of coupon sites offering codes. Here is what we found when we checked the source: Carmine’s does not run a promo-code program. There is no code field at a reservation, no rewards app, and nothing on the restaurant’s own site offering a percentage off a dinner check.

That is not a dead end. Carmine’s is one of the few big-name restaurants where the ordering is the discount — the entire business model is oversized family-style platters priced to be split, and a table that orders correctly eats for a fraction of what a table that orders like it is at a normal restaurant pays. There are also two seasonal programs and a newsletter that are real. Below is all of it, with sources.

The family-style math is the whole game

Carmine’s serves Southern Italian food on platters intended to be shared. The menu says so item by item — most dishes are marked as feeding two to four people. Prices look alarming until you divide them.

Representative prices from the Times Square dining menu:

  • Garlic Bread — $19.95 (roughly 8–9 pieces)
  • Fried Calamari — $46.95, feeds 2–4
  • Penne alla Vodka — $38.95, feeds 2–4
  • Meatballs (beef and veal, house-made) — $41.95, feeds 2–4
  • Lasagna — $41.95, feeds 2–4
  • Chicken Parmigiana — $41.95, feeds 2–4
  • Chicken Scarpariello (whole chicken on the bone) — $48.95, feeds 2–4
  • Tiramisu — $29.95, feeds 2–4
  • Italian Cheesecake — $29.95, serves 4

Run a real table of four. Garlic bread ($19.95) + fried calamari ($46.95) + lasagna ($41.95) + chicken parmigiana ($41.95) + tiramisu ($29.95) = $180.75, or roughly $45 per person before tax, tip, and drinks — for five shared courses in a Times Square dining room. That is five courses at a per-person price that a single entree would cost at plenty of Midtown restaurants.

Now run the same table ordering wrong: four people each ordering their own entree is four platters designed for 2–4 people apiece — call it $165 in entrees alone for a table that will not finish half of it. Same restaurant, nearly double the per-person cost, and a pile of leftovers you are carrying around Manhattan.

The rule that saves the most money at Carmine’s: order roughly one shared dish per two people, then add more only if the table is still hungry. No coupon on the internet is worth as much as that sentence.

Restaurant Week is the only real prix fixe discount — and it is not running right now

NYC Restaurant Week runs on $30, $45, and $60 prix fixe tiers across lunch and dinner. As of this check, Summer 2026 has ended, and the program’s organizers state it returns in Winter 2027. Historically it runs roughly January–February and July–August each year.

Carmine’s Upper West Side has participated in recent NYC Restaurant Week editions, and Carmine’s Washington D.C. has run a DC Restaurant Week menu. We are not going to tell you they will definitely participate in Winter 2027 — participation is confirmed restaurant by restaurant when each lineup is announced, and no one has announced it yet. What we can tell you is where to watch: the official Restaurant Week lineup when it posts, and Carmine’s own news page.

If your visit is flexible, this is the single biggest scheduled discount available on this restaurant. A $45 prix fixe at a restaurant where a shared four-course meal runs about $45 a head anyway is a modest edge; a $30 lunch tier is a real one.

The newsletter is the only ongoing promo channel

Carmine’s runs an email signup at carminesnyc.com/newsletter, described by the restaurant as a way to “receive promotions & updates.” The restaurant does not publish what those promotions are or how often they go out, so we will not characterize them. What we will say: for a restaurant group with no app, no rewards tier, and no code program, an email list is the only channel through which a genuine offer would reach you. If you eat there more than once a year, it costs nothing to be on it.

Where else the money actually moves

  • Lunch instead of dinner. Carmine’s publishes separate menus by location and daypart. If your schedule allows a midday meal, check the lunch menu before assuming dinner pricing.
  • Catering for groups. Carmine’s offers catering at Times Square, Upper West Side, Atlantic City, Washington D.C., and Las Vegas. For an office or family event, catering pricing on family-style platters is usually a better per-head number than booking a dining room.
  • Private dining. The Sinatra Room at Times Square handles private events, and multiple locations host parties. Group packages are quoted, not couponed — ask for the package sheet and compare it to a la carte, because the answer genuinely varies by party size.
  • Gift cards. Available through the online shop. There is no bonus-value promotion listed — a $100 card is $100 of food. Some restaurant groups run gift card bonus offers around the holidays; Carmine’s did not have one posted at this check.
  • Order ahead around holidays. The restaurant currently warns of increased order volume during holidays with limited delivery and takeout slots. That is not a savings tip so much as a way to avoid paying for a last-minute alternative.

Why the coupon sites listing Carmine’s codes are worth ignoring

Multiple coupon aggregators publish pages titled with Carmine’s name and a discount percentage. We could not confirm a single working Carmine’s code from the restaurant. What those pages generally contain is one of three things: a generic sitewide code that fails at checkout, a gift-card or third-party reseller offer dressed up as a restaurant discount, or an expired offer left live because the page ranks.

This is exactly the pattern CheezyDeals exists to avoid. A page that says “no code exists” is less exciting than a page that says “30% off,” and it is the only version that will not waste your time at the table. See how we verify deals for what we require before an offer gets a status label.

Frequently asked questions

Does Carmine’s have a promo code?

Not one we can verify. The restaurant does not present a code field, and nothing on its own site offers a code-based discount.

How much is a meal at Carmine’s per person?

Ordering family style as intended — roughly one shared dish per two diners — a table of four eating five shared courses lands near $45 per person before tax, tip, and drinks, based on published Times Square menu prices. Ordering individual entrees per person roughly doubles that.

How many people does a Carmine’s dish feed?

Most platters are listed as feeding 2–4. Garlic bread arrives as roughly 8–9 pieces; the Italian cheesecake is listed as serving 4.

Is Carmine’s part of Restaurant Week?

Carmine’s Upper West Side has participated in recent NYC Restaurant Week editions and Carmine’s D.C. has run DC Restaurant Week menus. Summer 2026 has ended; NYC Restaurant Week returns Winter 2027, and participation is confirmed when each lineup is published.

Which Carmine’s locations are there?

Times Square and the Upper West Side in New York City, plus Atlantic City, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, and Atlantis in the Bahamas. Menus and pricing vary by location — the figures on this page come from the Times Square dining menu.

Do Carmine’s gift cards ever come with bonus value?

None was posted at this check. If one appears, it would most likely be a holiday-season promotion announced by email.

Offer provenance

Menu prices, serving sizes, locations, catering availability, private dining, gift cards, and the newsletter all come from Carmine’s own website, checked September 8, 2026. Restaurant Week price tiers, the end of the Summer 2026 program, and the Winter 2027 return come from the official NYC Restaurant Week organizers. No coupon code, discount percentage, or expiration date on this page was invented, and no offer here is marked verified on the strength of another coupon site listing it.
