Food Deals for Today: Restaurant Deals by Day of the Week and How the Recurring Specials Actually Work

Covers: recurring weekday restaurant specials that chains publish on their own websites, apps and newsrooms, organized Monday through Sunday, with the participating-location caveats that decide whether your nearest restaurant honors them · Sources: each company’s own pages, listed under Offer provenance.

What food deals can you get today? It depends on the day, and on whether your local restaurant takes part. A handful of national chains publish standing weekday specials on their own pages: Red Lobster posts a different Daily Deal for each weekday, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit lists deals for Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and the weekend (including a Sunday kids-eat-free code), Moe’s runs Moe Monday for rewards members, Ruby Tuesday offers a free kids’ meal on Tuesday nights, and Taco Bell runs app-only Tuesday Drops. Nearly every one of these says “participating locations,” and prices are often set locally, so confirm in the chain’s app before you go.

Why weekday deals work differently from coupons

A recurring weekday special is a menu price, not a code. The chain sets the idea; franchise owners, who run most chain restaurants, usually decide whether to join and what to charge. You can see the hedging in the fine print: Red Lobster says “Price and product availability may differ by location,” Dickey’s says prices “will be slightly higher in some states,” and Moe’s says plainly that “Pricing varies by location.”

Three practical rules follow from that:

  • “Participating locations” is a real limit. A restaurant can opt out and still be following the chain’s rules.
  • The app shows your store’s version. Moe’s, Taco Bell and Buffalo Wild Wings all deliver weekday offers through a rewards account tied to the location you pick.
  • Delivery apps usually don’t count. Red Lobster excludes third-party delivery from its Daily Deals, and Dickey’s excludes delivery orders from Kids Eat Free.

Deals set by a single franchise never appear on the chain’s website, so we don’t list them.

Monday

Red Lobster Endless Shrimp

Red Lobster’s Daily Deals page lists Endless Shrimp at $24.99 on Mondays with one side, choosing from Garlic Shrimp Scampi, Shrimp Linguini Alfredo, Walt’s Favorite Shrimp or Parrot Isle Coconut Shrimp. It is “for dine-in only and not available on holidays,” and not available to go. See our Red Lobster coupons guide.

Moe Monday

Moe’s loads a discounted full-size burrito or bowl into Moe Rewards accounts every Monday, at participating restaurants. Moe’s doesn’t publish a national price; it says to check your account for your local offer. Use it online, in the app or in store while signed in.

Tuesday

Tuesday is the busiest day for recurring offers. Our Taco Tuesday deals hub goes deeper on the Tuesday-only programs.

Taco Bell Tuesday Drops

Taco Bell’s Rewards page has a section for Tuesday offers, and its newsroom explains the mechanics. Drops are released in the Taco Bell app to Rewards members, often at 2 p.m. Pacific, in limited quantities: past releases capped claims at the first 10,000, 25,000 or 50,000 members to tap “Claim Reward.” They are app-only, limited to one per member, “at participating U.S. Taco Bell locations, while supplies last.” Items change weekly, and every past drop we read has ended, so check the app.

Buffalo Wild Wings BOGO wings

When we last loaded the Buffalo Wild Wings rewards page, it listed BOGO free wings on Tuesdays as a member benefit. On this check the page loaded without its offer text, so we kept the status as last seen active. The math is simple: if you order two equal orders of traditional wings, you pay for one, so the wing portion of the check is cut in half. See our Buffalo Wild Wings guide for the sign-up bonus and points.

Ruby Tuesday kids eat free

Ruby Tuesday’s Kids Eat Free page offers a free kids’ meal for children 12 and under with a full-priced adult entrée, “Every Tuesday from 5 PM to close.” It is dine-in only at participating locations, not available in Hawaii or Guam, and not valid with limited-time offers or Everyday Fresh Meals.

Dickey’s 2 for Tuesday and Red Lobster’s Crab Lover’s Duo

Dickey’s lists two 2-Meat Plates for $29 on Tuesdays, which works out to $14.50 a plate ($29 ÷ 2), in store or online. Red Lobster’s Tuesday deal is the Crab Lover’s Duo at $25.99: about half a pound of snow crab legs with Crab & Shrimp Linguini Alfredo.

Cinemark Discount Tuesdays

Not food, but Cinemark says participating theatres offer “up to 50% off movie tickets” on Tuesdays for all guests, with extra savings for Movie Rewards members. Movies opening on a Tuesday, special engagements, private events and holidays may be excluded. Blackout dates: 11/24, 12/22 and 12/29. Our Cinemark Discount Tuesday guide runs the membership math.

Wednesday

Food deals for Wednesday are scarcer than Tuesday’s. What chains’ own pages list:

  • Dickey’s Wing Wednesday: 10 bone-in Classic Wings for $10, in store or online. That’s $1 a wing ($10 ÷ 10).
  • Dickey’s Wild Westerner Wednesday: a Westerner Sandwich and a Big Yellow Cup for $10.85, online or in the app.
  • Red Lobster: a 7 oz sirloin with Walt’s Favorite Shrimp and one side for $23.99.

If you’re after wings and Dickey’s isn’t nearby, Wingstop doesn’t publish a weekday deal; its discounts come through Club Wingstop and bundle pricing, explained in our Wingstop coupons guide.

Thursday

Red Lobster’s Thursday Daily Deal is Salmon New Orleans (blackened salmon with shrimp and Cajun butter, plus a side) for $23.99. Buffalo Wild Wings’ parent company once announced BOGO boneless Thursdays, but no current Buffalo Wild Wings page we loaded lists it, so it stays unverified.

Friday

Red Lobster lists Fish & Chips at $15.99 on Fridays, its lowest-priced Daily Deal. Dickey’s Fully Loaded Friday is buy one Giant Loaded Baked Potato, get one free, with code FRIDAY; both potatoes must be in the cart. On a BOGO, you pay for one of two equal items, which equals 50% off the pair.

Saturday and Sunday

Weekends are thin. Red Lobster’s Daily Deals stop at Friday; Dickey’s is the exception:

  • 1941 Party Pack ($19.41), Saturdays and Sundays: 1 lb. of pulled pork, a large side of BBQ beans and Texas toast.
  • Kids Eat Free, Sundays: a free kids’ meal with an adult purchase of $15 or more before tax, using code KIDS85. Add the kids’ meal to the cart and apply the code. It is valid in store or online but “Not valid on delivery orders.”

Every day: the deals that don’t care what day it is

Red Lobster also lists weekday 3–6 p.m. Early Dine-In Specials “for under $15.” Chili’s homepage listed no weekday deal when we checked; its everyday value is the 3 for Me menu. Denny’s pages we loaded showed no kids-eat-free night, which in the U.S. appears to be decided restaurant by restaurant; the Denny’s rewards guide covers its national offers. Sonic’s deals page points to its app, and our Sonic deals guide explains the half-price drink perk. Pizza chains use coupon menus instead; see the Domino’s and Papa John’s guides.

How to save without a coupon

  1. Join the rewards programs before the day arrives. Moe Monday, Taco Bell Tuesday Drops and the Buffalo Wild Wings Tuesday offer all go to members. Signing up at the register can mean missing that day’s deal.
  2. Set your home restaurant in each app. Weekday offers load by location, and prices differ by store.
  3. Order direct, not through delivery apps. Red Lobster and Dickey’s both exclude delivery from these deals.
  4. Call ahead for kids-eat-free nights. Ruby Tuesday’s is dine-in only at participating locations.
  5. Compare the weekday price with the rewards math. Our restaurant rewards programs ranked shows which apps say what points are worth.

What we could not verify

  • Whether Buffalo Wild Wings’ Tuesday BOGO is still listed: its rewards page didn’t load offer text on this check, and its deals page failed to load.
  • Whether Buffalo Wild Wings still runs BOGO boneless Thursdays nationally.
  • Moe Monday’s price at any location; Moe’s publishes none.
  • Which item any upcoming Taco Bell Tuesday Drop will feature, its claim cap or its release time.
  • Whether Red Lobster’s Daily Deal prices apply at your restaurant, and which holidays are excluded.
  • Any national kids-eat-free night at Denny’s in the U.S. (a Denny’s Canada promotion exists, but it’s a separate operator).
  • Sonic’s half-price app drinks; its deals page didn’t describe them on this check.
  • Any weekday deal at Chili’s or Wingstop; their pages we loaded showed none.
  • Any working promo code. No checkout test was performed.
