Coupon for Five Guys Burgers and Fries: How Promo Code Drops, the Combo Tests and Gift Cards Actually Work

Merchant: Five Guys · What this page covers: whether Five Guys publishes coupons or promo codes, how its short app-and-web promo code drops have worked, the combo tests, free toppings and peanuts, gift cards, catering, the community fundraiser code, and why there is no rewards program · Sources: Five Guys’ own pages, listed under Where these offers come from.

There is no standing coupon for Five Guys burgers and fries, and Five Guys does not run a rewards or loyalty program. What Five Guys does publish are short-lived promo codes tied to food holidays and company events, posted on its own news blog, redeemable only on FiveGuys.com or in the Five Guys app while signed in to an account. Every one of those codes we found on Five Guys’ pages has already ended. On the pages we reviewed, nothing is open right now, so the realistic ways to spend less are the combo test (where your store has it), the free toppings, and watching Five Guys’ own blog for the next drop.

That makes Five Guys different from chains like Chipotle or Jersey Mike’s, where an app loyalty program is the main lever. At Five Guys there are no points to collect, so if you see a “Five Guys rewards” offer or a list of “5 Guys coupon codes” on a third-party site, treat it with suspicion. The table below lists everything we could trace to Five Guys itself.

Does Five Guys have coupons or promo codes?

Yes, occasionally, but not in the way most coupon lists suggest. Five Guys does not keep a coupons page, and its FAQ page says plainly that the company “does not currently offer rewards or have a loyalty program.” Instead, the company announces a promo code on its own blog or newsroom for a short event, usually three or four days, and then marks the post as ended.

Every code we traced shared the same rules: FiveGuys.com or the app only (not in store), signed in to a Five Guys account, no third-party delivery such as DoorDash or Uber Eats, generally one redemption per account, no stacking with combos or other offers, and taxes plus delivery or other fees charged on top.

Because these codes end within days, any “coupons for Five Guys” list that still shows BOGOBURGER, FRYDAY26 or FGAFTERPARTY as working is showing expired codes. See how to spot a fake coupon site.

How the past Five Guys promo code drops worked

Each past drop had a different catch, which tells you how much the next one is worth.

Buy one burger, get one free (BOGOBURGER, September 16–18, 2026)

For National Cheeseburger Day, adding two burgers to an app or web order and entering BOGOBURGER made the burger “of equal or lesser value” free, for pickup or Five Guys’ own delivery at participating U.S. and select Canadian locations.

Our math, not a Five Guys quote: an equal-or-lesser BOGO saves the price of the cheaper burger, so two identically priced burgers cut the burger total in half, while pairing a pricey burger with a cheap one saves less. Five Guys publishes no menu prices on the pages we reviewed and says prices vary by location, so check your store’s online menu for the dollar figure.

Free Little Fry (FRYDAY26, July 8–10, 2026)

For National Fry Day, a signed-in order with a burger, sandwich or hot dog plus a Little Fry got the fry free with FRYDAY26. It excluded the Classic Combo, Make it a Meal, Mini Hamburger and Kids Meal offers. The saving equals your store’s Little Fry price.

Free hot dog on delivery (August 4–7, 2026)

This required a $25-or-more delivery order through the Five Guys app or website; pickup, in-store and third-party delivery did not qualify, and delivery fees may apply. If you would normally pick up, it only saved money when the hot dog was worth more than the delivery fee. The post did not print the code.

40th Birthday After Party BOGO (FGAFTERPARTY, March 9–12, 2026)

Five Guys’ February birthday BOGO drew more demand than expected; its apology post says some locations ran out and closed early. The redo offered a free burger of equal or lesser value with a regular-price burger, online and in the app only.

These codes clustered around food holidays and company milestones. That is a pattern, not a promise: Five Guys has not announced an upcoming code on the pages we reviewed. Watch its news blog, and see our Big Deal Days calendar for the wider event schedule.

Five Guys combos: the Classic Combo and Make it a Meal

Five Guys’ FAQ says it is testing combos at select U.S. stores, with prices that vary by location.

  • Classic Combo: a Little Burger or Little Cheeseburger, a Little Fry and a 16-ounce drink for $12.99, per the press release announcing a 177-restaurant test. Bacon or an extra patty costs extra.
  • Make it a Meal: add a Little Fry and a regular drink to any burger, hot dog or sandwich for $5, per a press release announcing a 14-location test.

Is the combo cheaper? (our math): On your store’s online menu, add up a Little Fry and a regular drink. Anything above $5 is your Make it a Meal saving. For the Classic Combo, add the Little Burger, Little Fry and drink; anything above $12.99 is the saving. Five Guys does not state a dollar saving, and we could not load a store menu with prices. Past promo codes excluded combos, so it is usually one or the other.

Free toppings, free peanuts and the “little” sizes

Five Guys’ FAQ lists 15 free toppings and free milkshake mix-ins, and free peanuts are served in every restaurant. Bacon is where its own pages disagree (see below), so ask at the counter. The Classic Combo release also says “little” is what many consider a regular portion, so Little sizes are a no-code way to spend less.

Five Guys gift cards

Five Guys gift cards are not discounted, but the terms are friendly: no fees, and the balance does not expire (except where law requires otherwise). Cards work in participating U.S. restaurants, online and in the app, and cannot be reloaded or cashed out. Lost or stolen cards are not replaced without proof of purchase. The FAQ lists denominations from $5 to $200. We found no holiday bonus card promotion, unlike chains such as Texas Roadhouse.

Catering and the fundraiser code

Five Guys catering is ordered online or by calling your local store. The FAQ lists a 15-sandwich minimum and 16 hours’ notice. We found no catering discount.

The one standing code on Five Guys’ site, FGGIVESBACK, is not a discount. It is for community fundraisers: during a scheduled event, online guests enter it at checkout (in-store guests tell the cashier) so the sale counts toward the event. Five Guys’ Community Events page says it donates 20% of event sales to the organization, excluding delivery orders, with events held Monday through Thursday. You pay full price; the money goes to the cause.

How to save at Five Guys without a coupon

  • Use the combo if your store has it. Do the add-up math above against your store’s menu.
  • Load up on the free toppings instead of paying for add-ons.
  • Pick up instead of delivery. Delivery and other fees apply to app orders, and third-party apps were excluded from every promo we found.
  • Create a Five Guys account now. Every code required a signed-in account, and having one ready matters on a three-day promo.

If you eat fast food often, chains with real point programs may return more over time. Compare them in our restaurant rewards programs ranked guide, or see value menus like Wendy’s Biggie Deals and Sonic’s app deals.

What we could not verify

  • Menu prices. Five Guys does not publish prices on the pages we reviewed, and the online ordering menu did not load prices for us. The FAQ says prices vary by location.
  • Where the combos are offered. Test locations are not named, and we could not confirm whether the $12.99 and $5 prices still apply.
  • The Dog Days of Summer code. The blog post did not print it.
  • The February 40th birthday BOGO code and terms. The apology post did not include them.
  • What the “News & Offers” sign-up sends. The sign-up page did not render text for us, so we cannot say whether it includes a welcome or birthday offer.
  • Military, senior, student or teacher discounts. The only veteran discount in Five Guys’ FAQ is a franchise-fee reduction for veterans opening a restaurant. See our military discounts master list for chains that do publish one.
  • The blackberry shake mix-in. Five Guys’ limited-time-offer page still says it is “available now,” while a Five Guys blog post said it would run through mid-August. We report both and could not confirm which is current.
  • Whether bacon is free. The FAQ says extra bacon is free in store (not online or for delivery); the Classic Combo press release says bacon costs extra on the combo. We report both.
  • Holiday gift card bonuses. None were posted on the gift card page we read.
