YouTube TV Coupon Codes: Is There a Promo Code? The Free Trial, Intro Pricing, ID.me Discount and Sunday Ticket Deals, Explained

Merchant: YouTube TV · What this page covers: the main plan price, the free trial, new-member intro pricing, the ID.me discount, partner promo codes, referrals, NFL Sunday Ticket pricing, add-ons, pausing, and refunds · Sources: YouTube TV’s own pages and Google’s YouTube TV Help Center, listed under Offer provenance.

Are there YouTube TV coupon codes? Not public ones you can copy from a list. YouTube TV does use promo codes, but its own offer terms show they are handed out through specific channels: a Google TV device, an affiliate partner, or a Google Store purchase. Nobody gets them from a coupon website. The discounts anyone can see are on tv.youtube.com itself: a free trial for first-time subscribers, an intro price on the main plan, an intro price on the cheaper Sports + News Plan, and a $15-a-month discount for military members, veterans, teachers, nurses and first responders verified through ID.me.

We found no public promo code and list none here. A “YouTube TV promo code” with no link back to YouTube is a red flag; our guide on spotting fake coupon sites explains why.

What YouTube TV costs at full price

Google’s sign-up help page lists the main YouTube TV plan at $82.99 a month plus tax. The welcome page uses the same figure and says one membership covers up to six household accounts. Some pages call this the “Base Plan” and others the “main plan”; they are the same thing.

The welcome page also lists a Sports + News Plan at $71.99 a month after its intro period, while its FAQ names a “Sports Plan” at $64.99. We report both. The offer terms put the Spanish Plan at $34.99 a month, “subject to change.”

How the YouTube TV free trial works

According to YouTube TV Help, the free trial is for first-time subscribers only. If you have had YouTube TV or a YouTube TV trial before, you are not eligible. During the trial you get every channel in the plan you picked. Google places a small hold on your card to check it but does not charge you until the trial ends. Prepaid cards are not accepted.

The help page says trial lengths vary by plan. The welcome page advertised “Try 21 days for $0,” its FAQ mentioned a 5-day trial, and the offer terms list 21-, 10- and 5-day trials for people YouTube invites. The length shown at checkout is the one that applies.

Switching plans does not restart the trial. Cancelling mid-trial keeps your access until it ends; otherwise you are billed the plan price plus add-ons, and that day becomes your billing date.

Intro pricing for new members

The discounts most people will see are printed on tv.youtube.com, with no code required:

  • Main plan: new YouTube TV users pay $59.99 a month for two months, then $82.99. YouTube says that saves $46. Offer ends November 16, 2026.
  • Sports + News Plan: new YouTube TV users pay $49.99 a month for five months, then $71.99. YouTube says that saves $110. Offer ends November 16, 2026.

The math checks out. Two months at $59.99 is $119.98, against $165.98 at full price, a $46 saving. Five months at $49.99 is $249.95, against $359.95, a $110 saving. Over a first year on the main plan, the intro price brings the total from $995.88 to $949.88, before tax and add-ons.

The fine print says “new users only” and “no refunds.”

The ID.me discount for military, teachers, nurses and first responders

YouTube’s offer terms describe a discount for people verified through ID.me: military members, veterans, teachers, nurses and first responders. It is $15 a month off for 12 months, which makes the Base Plan $67.99 a month for the first year. The offer must be redeemed by December 31, 2026, and it cannot be combined with other coupon offers.

Worked example: 12 months at $67.99 is $815.88, against $995.88 at full price, or $180 saved, far more than the $46 intro price. Since the offers do not stack, compare before signing up.

Where real YouTube TV promo codes come from

YouTube TV does accept promo codes, and its offer terms show where they come from:

  • Google TV: $20 a month off for six months, with the code delivered through Google TV. It must be redeemed by March 31, 2027. Total saving: $120.
  • Affiliate partners: $15 a month off for five months on the main plan, not genre plans, using a partner’s code. It must be redeemed by November 26, 2026. Total saving: $75.
  • Google Store: a $62.99-a-month offer tied to a Google Store purchase. Its redemption deadline, August 15, 2026, has passed. The offer’s heading says four months while its body says five.

Each says it cannot be combined with another promotion or code, and the referral discount has the same rule. You get one discount, so use the largest you qualify for.

Refer a friend

If a friend already subscribes, ask for their referral link. YouTube TV Help says the friend gets a discounted first month and the referrer gets a discount on a future bill once the friend pays. The page does not give the amounts. Referrers can earn up to 10 referral discounts; the friend must be new to YouTube TV, with no past trial. Carrier- or ISP-billed accounts and paused memberships are not eligible. The offer terms run the program through December 31, 2027.

NFL Sunday Ticket pricing

NFL Sunday Ticket costs extra on top of a YouTube TV plan, or you can buy it on its own through YouTube Primetime Channels. Prices for the 2026–27 season, from YouTube’s Sunday Ticket deals page and offer terms:

  • New subscribers: $240 for the season, or $30 a month for 8 months. It costs the same either way.
  • Returning subscribers: the deals page lists $378 with a YouTube TV plan and $480 for the standalone version. The offer terms list several other returning-member prices for people YouTube invites.
  • Student Plan: $119, with student verification.
  • Heroes Service Plan: $198 through ID.me for military, veterans, first responders, the medical community and teachers. YouTube TV Help says RedZone can be added for $42 more.
  • NFL RedZone with Sports Plus: $10.99 a month as a YouTube TV add-on.

Sunday Ticket is non-refundable once charged, the 8 monthly payments cannot be cancelled, and payment plans are not offered in Colorado, Maine, Utah, Wisconsin or U.S. territories. It auto-renews at next season’s price unless you turn renewal off, and cancelling YouTube TV ends access if you bought it there. Partner deals such as the Amex cash-back offer (ended October 16, 2026) have expired.

Add-on prices

The welcome page lists 4K Plus at $9.99 a month (some first-time users get a 30-day trial, then $4.99 to $9.99 for 12 months, per the offer terms), Entertainment Plus at $29.99, NFL RedZone with Sports Plus at $10.99, Spanish TV at $14.99, and premium networks from $1.99 a month.

Pausing instead of cancelling

Per YouTube TV Help, you can pause for 4 weeks up to 6 months, starting when your current billing cycle ends. You cannot watch and nothing new records, but existing recordings stay (subject to the usual 9-month expiration). When the pause ends, your normal price is charged and that date becomes your billing date.

Cancelling is harsher: recordings expire after 21 days, add-ons end, and Google says you may not qualify for promotional prices if you rejoin. Note that pausing forfeits referral rewards, and Google does not refund partial billing periods, so time changes near your billing date.

Retention offers

Google’s cancel-or-pause help page describes no discount for staying. It offers a “Cancel now” option and points to chat or phone support to pause or customize your plan. Since Google does not describe a retention offer, we do not list one.

How to save on YouTube TV without a coupon

  • Pick the right plan. If you mainly watch sports and news, the Sports + News Plan costs $11 a month less than the main plan at full price.
  • Use the trial deliberately. Start it right before a big event you want to watch. Switching plans will not give you a second trial.
  • Pause in the off-season instead of cancelling, so you keep your recordings.
  • Check whether you qualify for ID.me before taking the general intro price, since you only get one.

What we could not verify

  • A single standard free-trial length. Pages mention 21 days, 5 days and “varies by plan.”
  • Whether the Sports + News Plan is $71.99 or the FAQ’s “Sports Plan” at $64.99 a month; both appear on the welcome page.
  • The dollar amounts of the referral discount for the friend and for the referrer.
  • The ID.me Sunday Ticket deadline: December 31, 2026 in the offer terms versus January 10, 2027 on the help page.
  • Any retention or win-back discount when cancelling; Google’s pages describe none.
  • Whether the Google Store offer ran four months or five; its terms say both.
