Delta Electronics India has unveiled an ‘E-Mobility Tech Experience Centre’ at its facility in Gurugram. The lab has been established to give customers, business partners and electric vehicle (EV) charging service providers an experience of the whole ecosystem of EV charging solutions in the company’s portfolio. It has been used to showcase EV chargers based on AC (Type 2) as well as DC charging standards (CCS, CHAdeMO, GB/T and Bharat DC001) with capacities ranging from 7.5kW to 150kW.

The company feels that the initiative should help quell the apprehensions around EV charging and provide a better understanding of the upcoming technology.

Speaking at the event, Niranjan S Nayak, business head, Delta Electronics India, said, “Delta is powering green mobility, and over the last four years, the company has carved a niche for itself in EV charging solutions by providing competent solutions vis-à-vis international standards. This E-Mobility Tech Experience Centre will reinstate our endeavour to provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow.”

Delta Electronics is a multinational headquartered in Taiwan that specialises in the field of power electronics, automation and infrastructure. Operating in India since 2003, it has R&D facilities in Gurugram and Bengaluru as well as manufacturing units in Rudrapur, Gurugram and Hosur.

The company has been working along with Hyundai to provide its EV chargers to owners of the Kona Electric that was launched earlier this year. Delta has also teamed up with MG for the installation of AC chargers at the homes or offices of buyers of the upcoming ZS EV. Furthermore, the brand claims to be catering to OEMs like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra Electric, Tata Motors, Nissan and Tork Motorcycles in our market. Government authorities such as EESL, KSEB, BESCOM, NTPC and iCAT, along with fleet operators like Ola, are some of the other clients of the technology major.
