The latest in the never-ending lineup of days with freebies and deals is Earth Day, celebrated this Saturday, April 22. As you’d imagine, the promotions and giveaways have an eco-friendly twist—with most offers emphasizing healthy, sustainable products and practices.
Evos: All customers get a free organic milkshake on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., no purchase required.
IKEA: Participating stores are partnering with Goodwill and collecting used furniture on Saturday. Anyone dropping off a piece of furniture gets a coupon for $20 off a $150 purchase at IKEA, good through May 21. The first 500 members of the IKEA Family loyalty program in each store on Saturday also get a free pair of RYET 400 lumen LED light bulbs, and all loyalty members get free coffee or tea.
National Parks: Admission is free for all visitors at all national parks on April 22 and 23.
Natural Grocers: Customers are welcomed to receive a free reusable shopping bag and to participate in a free seed-planting event at Natural Grocers locations.
Planet Fitness: Saturday, April 22, is the last day to get a free hydromassage at Planet Fitness, thanks to a coupon that was originally launched for Tax Day.
Staples: If you’re a Staples rewards member, bring in any old tech to a store this week and you’ll get a coupon good for $10 off any $30 purchase.
Wegmans: Bring in a plastic shopping bag and you’ll get a free reusable shopping bag at Wegmans locations on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Whole Foods Market: Earth Day festivities and freebies vary by location—among other things, some are offering free seeds and soil to plant vegetables or flowers, and some are hosting free wine tastings. Check with your nearby Whole Foods to see what’s happening on Saturday.
Youfit Health Clubs: This chain of fitness clubs was originally hosting an Earth Day open house on Friday—not Saturday—with free workouts for all through 9 p.m. But Youfit has since decided to extend the offer through the weekend, so even nonmembers can take advantage of free workouts until Sunday, April 23.
