If you are looking for an Abercrombie promo code, the short answer is that the codes that actually work are almost always tied to you. Abercrombie & Fitch’s own Offer Details page lists more than a dozen promotion types, including member spend-and-save offers, a join offer, a birthday offer, VIP offers and survey coupons, and nearly all of them say the code arrives by email or appears in your myAbercrombie account. None of those pages prints a public code that anyone can copy, so a “coupon codes abercrombie” list on a third-party site cannot prove a code is valid for your account.
The dependable savings are structural: myAbercrombie points, VIP status at $500 of annual spend, the automatic free-shipping threshold, and sales priced in without a code. Here is how each works, using only what Abercrombie & Fitch publishes.

Where real Abercrombie promo codes come from
Abercrombie & Fitch’s Offer Details page is effectively a catalog of the legal terms behind every code it sends out. Reading it closely shows how the system works:
- Member spend-and-save offers. The page describes formats such as $15 off a $99+ purchase, 15% off a $99+ purchase, $20 off a $99+ purchase and $20 off a pair of jeans. Each expires on the date shown in your email or account, and each requires you to be logged in online or to identify yourself to an associate in store. Only one myAbercrombie ID can be used per transaction.
- Percent-off “next purchase” codes. The page lists 20% off and 30% off next-purchase codes that are one-time use and expire at 11:59 PM PT on the date in the email. Outlets are excluded.
- Join, birthday and VIP offers. These are delivered as codes, but the page does not state the discount amount for any of them.
- Survey coupon. A 15% off full-price coupon is issued after a customer survey and is valid for 30 days. Fragrance and body care are excluded.
- Influencer and ad codes. The Promotions page has a separate set of terms for codes shared through social media, affiliates and ads. Those codes exclude clearance, Abercrombie Kids clearance and outlets, and a list of third-party brands (Sperry, Frye, G.H. Bass, Puma, Hunter, Schutz and Ugg).
A recurring rule across almost all of these offers is that they cannot be combined with other offers or promo codes on the same items. Plan on one code per purchase. If a site shows a long list of “working” public codes, our guide to spotting fake coupon sites explains why that pattern should make you suspicious.
How myAbercrombie Rewards work, with the real math
myAbercrombie is free to join. According to the loyalty FAQ, every net dollar you spend earns 10 points, but only when your myAbercrombie ID is attached to the purchase. Points convert automatically: every 2,500 points becomes a $10 Reward, issued in $10, $20, $30 or $40 amounts. The program page also mentions a 100-point bonus for signing in on the app.
Effective return. 2,500 points requires $250 of net spending, and that produces a $10 Reward. That works out to 4% back in store credit. Some illustrative numbers:
- A $120 order earns 1,200 points, not yet a Reward.
- $500 of spending (the VIP threshold) earns 5,000 points, or $20 in Rewards.
Limits you should know about:
- You can earn at most 100,000 points, or $400 in Rewards, per calendar year. That means points stop accruing after about $10,000 in spending.
- Rewards expire 90 days after they are issued. Points themselves do not expire as long as you make at least one eligible purchase a year.
- You can use up to three Rewards per transaction. If your purchase is smaller than the Reward, the unused balance is forfeited.
- Rewards cannot be used on gift cards, shipping and handling, delivery charges or gift wrap.
- Returning an item deducts the points it earned, and your balance can go negative. If you cancel a transaction that used a Reward, the Reward goes back to your account with its original expiration date.

VIP status: what $500 a year gets you
The loyalty FAQ says VIP status is earned by spending $500 during your member year, which runs 365 days from the date you joined. Status lasts for the rest of that year and the following one, and then you need to requalify by spending $500 again. Published VIP benefits include:
- Free standard shipping on all orders, with some countries excluded on the program page
- A gift each time you reach VIP status
- Occasional VIP-only offers (the Offer Details page lists an “Earned/Retained VIP Offer” code but does not give its amount)
Free shipping is the most concrete benefit: without VIP status it requires an order over $99. Returning a qualifying purchase can cost you VIP status, according to the FAQ.
Student, military and credit card discounts
Student discount. A&F has a “StudentDiscount” page, but when we checked it showed no percentage, verification provider or eligibility rules, so we report no student discount amount. For programs that do publish terms, see our student discounts master list.
Military discount. We did not find a military, teacher or first-responder discount published anywhere on abercrombie.com. Retailers that do publish one are collected in our military discounts master list.
Credit card. The only first-party mention of an Abercrombie & Fitch credit card is an archived legal page for a cardholder offer that expired years ago. It names no issuer and shows no APR. The current myAbercrombie program page does not mention a card at all, so we do not treat a store card as a current savings option.
Abercrombie sale events
Abercrombie & Fitch runs time-limited, category-specific promotions where the discount is already in the online price and no code is needed. The most recent one on its Promotions page, up to 30% off select sweaters and sweatshirts, was online only in the US and Canada and has already ended. Typical terms for these sales:
- They are online only and are not valid in stores.
- Abercrombie Kids merchandise is excluded from adult-line sales (Kids runs its own promotions).
- They cannot be combined with other offers or promo codes on the same items, so a member code will not stack on top of a marked-down sweater.
- Purchase quantities may be limited.
For the broader shopping-event calendar, see the big deal days calendar.
Shipping and returns: the costs that change your total
Shipping. Free standard shipping applies automatically to orders over $99, counted on the subtotal after all discounts and before tax. It covers online orders shipped within the US or Canada by Standard Ground. This matters when you use a code: a $20-off code on a $110 cart drops the subtotal to $90, which falls below the free-shipping line. The Offer Details page also lists a one-time free-shipping code with no minimum, without saying how it is distributed.
Returns. Abercrombie’s online return and exchange policy page did not render any policy text when we fetched it, so we cannot confirm the return window or whether there is a fee for mail returns. Returns also deduct points and can remove VIP status.
How to save at Abercrombie without a coupon
- Join myAbercrombie before your first purchase. Points only post when your member ID is attached, and joining triggers the join offer.
- Add your birthday to your account so you can receive the loyalty birthday code, which is valid for 30 days.
- Spend your Rewards within 90 days, and avoid applying a $10 Reward to a purchase smaller than $10, because the remainder is forfeited.
- Keep orders above $99 after discounts, or reach VIP status, so you do not pay shipping.
- Compare built-in sale prices with your member code. They usually cannot be combined on the same items.
- Complete the post-purchase survey if you are offered one. It pays a 15% off full-price coupon.

What we could not verify
- Student discount: the StudentDiscount page on abercrombie.com showed no percentage, verification provider (such as UNiDAYS or ID.me) or eligibility terms.
- Military, teacher or first-responder discount: none was found on A&F’s own pages.
- Amounts of the join, birthday and VIP offers: the terms exist, but no discount value is published.
- Return window and return fees: the online return and exchange policy page did not render any policy text.
- Shipping cost under $99: not shown on the help pages we could load.
- Current credit card: only an expired cardholder offer exists on A&F’s legal pages. No current card, issuer or APR was found.
- Conflict on stacking Rewards: one Offer Details entry says the $10 Reward “can be combined with other rewards and most other offers,” while the general myAbercrombie Rewards entry says Rewards cannot be combined with other offers on the same items. We report both and do not pick one.
- Conflict on the free-shipping offer’s dates: the Offer Details page attaches the $99 free-shipping banner to a specific short sale window, while the Promotions page and site banners show it with no end date.
- Conflict on member benefits: the myAbercrombie page shows two different benefit tables. One lists an “Extended Return Window” for VIPs and “Birthday & Anniversary Offers,” but the loyalty FAQ mentions neither.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a working Abercrombie promo code anyone can use?
Abercrombie & Fitch does not publish a public code on its own pages. Its promo codes are delivered by email, through your myAbercrombie account, after a survey, or through ads and creator partnerships with their own terms.
How much is a myAbercrombie point worth?
Every 2,500 points converts to a $10 Reward, and you earn 10 points per net dollar. That is roughly 4 cents back per dollar spent, in store credit that expires 90 days after it is issued.
How do you become a myAbercrombie VIP?
Spend $500 within your member year (365 days from the date you joined). VIP status includes free standard shipping on all orders and lasts through the following year, after which you need to requalify.
Can you use two Abercrombie promo codes on one order?
Most A&F offer terms say codes cannot be combined with other offers or promo codes on the same items. Rewards follow different rules: up to three can be used per transaction.
Does Abercrombie offer free shipping?
Yes. Online orders over $99 after discounts get free standard shipping in the US and Canada, and VIP members get free standard shipping on all orders.
