Merchant: Brooks Running (brooksrunning.com, U.S. site) · Covers: promo codes, the Community Heroes program for military, first responders and nurses, the Sports Medicine Ambassador Program, Brooks Run Club perks and its welcome offer, the sale section, Brooks ReStart pre-owned gear, shipping, the 90-day Run Happy Promise and gift cards · Sources: Brooks Running’s own pages, listed at the end.
Brooks Running does not publish a public promo code that anyone can type in, and its own help center says shoe codes are rare. The savings Brooks itself lists come from four places: the Community Heroes Ambassador Program, which gives verified military members, first responders and nurses up to three single-use 25% codes a year through ID.me; a separate 40% Sports Medicine program for licensed professionals who prescribe footwear; the free Brooks Run Club, which adds free standard shipping and 20% off one full-price apparel item; and the sale section, where we saw running shoes at roughly 17% to 35% off. Brooks lists no teacher or student discount. Every order also gets a 90-day trial run with free returns.

Is there a Brooks discount code?
Not a public one. Brooks’ help article on sales and promotions says it is “not often” that Brooks has promo codes for shoes, and that any current codes and specials appear in its emails or in the banner on its website. When we checked, the homepage banner advertised free shipping for members and new products, with no code and no percentage off.
Brooks’ promo code help page says codes come from Brooks emails and texts, Run Club membership or special sales, are case-sensitive, and “may not apply to all items.” Each code’s terms sit in the message that carried it.
Community Heroes: the Brooks military, first responder and nurse discount
The Community Heroes Ambassador Program is how Brooks handles the military discount. It is free and covers three groups: military members, first responders and nurses. Brooks’ help center describes the military group as “active military.”
How it works
- Verify your status by signing in to or creating an ID.me account from the Community Heroes page.
- Copy and save the promo code Brooks issues.
- Shop on brooksrunning.com and enter the code in your cart or at checkout.
The limits
- Three codes a year. Verified members can get up to three single-use 25% codes in a rolling 12-month period, counted from the date the first code is issued.
- Full price only. Sale items, select lifestyle collections and runDisney products are excluded. Brooks’ help center describes the codes as covering “eligible full-price items.”
- Online only. The codes don’t work in Brooks stores, at the Trailhead or at retail partners, and orders must ship to a U.S. address.
- Shipping is not free. Discount groups don’t get Brooks Run Club shipping perks. Brooks’ shipping table lists $10 standard shipping for discount groups, compared with $5 for non-members and free for Run Club members.
Because each code is single-use, combine purchases into one order. For how other brands treat the same groups, see Nike’s military, student and teacher offers, the Under Armour military and first responder discount, our military discounts master list and our nurse discounts master list.
The Sports Medicine Ambassador Program
Brooks runs a separate program for licensed professionals who prescribe footwear: orthopedic physicians, podiatrists, physical and occupational therapists and their assistants, athletic trainers, and chiropractors. Members verify with ID.me and reverify every two years.
- The discount is 40% off eligible items on the first $1,000 spent per calendar year. The cap resets each January 1.
- The program terms say the discount applies to full-price items, not items already marked down, and discounted prices show only while you’re logged in. Guest checkout doesn’t work.
- It also works at select retailers if you show your account dashboard. Gifts for others aren’t allowed, and membership is limited to U.S. residents.
Nurses aren’t on this list. They go through Community Heroes.
Teacher and student discounts
None of Brooks’ U.S. pages we read list a teacher or student discount. Community Heroes names only military, first responders and nurses. Teachers and students can still use Brooks Run Club, the sale section and ReStart. Our student discounts master list and teacher discounts master list cover brands that do publish one.
Brooks Run Club: shipping, the welcome offer and member perks
Brooks Run Club is the free membership tied to a Brooks account. Its perks:
- Free shipping. Free standard shipping (5 to 8 business days). Express is $15 for members, or free on subtotals over $160 before taxes and shipping; next day is $25. Non-members pay $5, $20 and $30.
- Welcome offer. 20% off one full-price apparel item, not shoes. Delivery, validity and exclusions aren’t stated.
- Birthday gift. A gift with purchase in your birthday month, unspecified.
- Member promotions. Early access to new shoes and sales, plus member-only promotions and games.
- Partner offer. A code for listed NOW Sports products at nowfoods.com, valid January 1 through December 31, 2026. The tile showed 30% off; the terms state no percentage. It saves nothing on Brooks gear.
Brooks publishes no points rate or tiers. Community Heroes and Sports Medicine orders lose the shipping perk: Brooks says discount groups “and select discount codes” don’t get it.
The Brooks sale section and Brooks ReStart
Brooks’ U.S. sale page listed 21 products when we checked. Prices we saw:
| Item | Regular price | Sale price | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adrenaline GTS 25 (women’s and men’s) | $155.00 | $124.95 | 19% |
| Glycerin Max 2 (women’s and men’s) | $200.00 | $149.95 | 25% |
| Glycerin Flex (women’s and men’s) | $170.00 | $129.95 | 24% |
| Ghost Max SE (women’s and men’s) | $170.00 | $109.95 | 35% |
| Ghost Trail (women’s and men’s) | $150.00 | $119.95 | 20% |
| Hyperion Elite 5 (unisex) | $275.00 | $199.95 | 27% |
| Revel Max (women’s and men’s) | $120.00 | $99.95 | 17% |
Treat these as a snapshot. The new Adrenaline GTS 26 was listed at $155 while the previous GTS 25 was marked down. The sale page showed no final-sale notice.
Brooks ReStart
Brooks ReStart is Brooks’ own resale site for gently used gear, graded Like New, Great or Good. Examples from its men’s collection: Adrenaline GTS 25 at $93 to $116 ($155 new), Glycerin 22 at $86 to $124 ($165 new) and Trace 4 at $60 to $75 ($100 new). ReStart has its own returns portal; check its terms before buying.
The Run Happy Promise and returns
Brooks gives you 90 days to wear its gear and return it if you’re not happy, with no return shipping or restocking fee. It covers brooksrunning.com orders (the Returns Center makes a free label) and authorized U.S. sellers (contact the seller first), but not unauthorized sellers.
Brooks gift cards
Brooks sells eGift Cards online from $25 to $500 and physical cards in its stores, usable online, in Brooks-owned stores and at select events, up to two per order. Brooks lists no gift card bonus. Any remainder must go on a credit card, not PayPal, Apple Pay, Klarna or Afterpay.
The honest math
- Community Heroes on a new pair. 25% off the $155 Adrenaline GTS 26 is $38.75, so $116.25, plus $10 discount-group shipping: $126.25 before tax.
- The sale pair instead. The Adrenaline GTS 25 at $124.95 with free member shipping is $124.95 and uses up none of your three codes. The newer model through Community Heroes costs only about $1.30 more, so pick on model, not price.
- Sports Medicine. 40% off a $175 Glycerin 23 is $70 off, so $105 before shipping and tax. The $1,000 cap covers roughly nine pairs at that price.
- Free express. Members need a subtotal over $160. A sale Glycerin Max 2 ($149.95) falls short. A full-price Glycerin 23 ($175) clears it.
- ReStart. A used Adrenaline GTS 25 ($93 to $116) saves $9 to $32 against a new one on sale ($124.95).
- Stacking. Community Heroes and Sports Medicine both exclude sale items, so neither stacks with sale prices. Brooks doesn’t say whether the welcome offer combines with anything else.
How to save at Brooks without a coupon
- Join Brooks Run Club before checkout. It’s free and saves $5 on standard shipping.
- Check the sale section for the previous version of your shoe, or ReStart if used is fine.
- Save Community Heroes codes for full-price, multi-item orders.
- Compare authorized retailers. Brooks doesn’t price match them, but the Run Happy Promise still covers authorized U.S. sellers. Our explainers on DICK’S Sporting Goods, Foot Locker and Academy Sports cover how those stores’ programs work.
What we could not verify
- Whether veterans, retirees and military spouses qualify for Community Heroes. Brooks’ help center says “active military,” and the program page says “military.”
- Which first responder and nursing roles count, and which documents ID.me accepts.
- Which “select lifestyle collections” Community Heroes excludes, and whether its codes combine with other offers (an older promotion on the page barred combining).
- Delivery, validity and exclusions for the 20% apparel offer. Its linked terms page could not be retrieved.
- What the birthday gift is, and the percentage on the NOW Sports partner code.
- Whether sale items are final sale or covered by the full 90-day promise. The Run Happy Promise page lists no exclusions, and part of its text was cut off.
- ReStart’s return policy, shipping costs and condition standards.
- Price adjustments after purchase, and whether gift cards expire.
- One small wording conflict: the shipping page says free express applies to subtotals “over $160,” and the help center says “$160 or more.” Assume you need more than $160.
