On Cloud Discount Code: How On Running’s ID.me Community Discount, Refer-a-Friend Offer and Last Season Prices Actually Work

Merchant: On (on.com, the Swiss running shoe and apparel brand often called On Running or On Cloud) · Covers: the ID.me Community Discount for military, nurses, medical providers, first responders, teachers and students; refer-a-friend; newsletter and app offers; Last Season markdowns; shipping and returns; gift cards; Cyclon resale, trade-in and recycling · Sources: On’s own pages, listed at the end.

On does not post a public On Cloud discount code that anyone can type in. The codes On does hand out are personal: a single-use Community Discount code you get after verifying through ID.me as a member of the military, a nurse, a medical provider, a first responder, a teacher or a student in the U.S. or Canada, and a 10% referral discount that both you and a friend receive. The savings that need no code at all are the Last Season section, where older colorways and models carry lower prices, plus free shipping on orders over $50 and free returns within 90 days. One catch: the Community Discount code cannot be used on Last Season products, so you pick one route or the other.

The On Community Discount: military, healthcare, first responders, teachers and students

On runs a single program for all of these groups. On’s page titles it “Community discounts,” and it is the closest thing On has to an on running discount code with real value.

Who qualifies

On names six groups: military members, nurses, medical providers, first responders, teachers and students. You must live in the U.S. or Canada and be verified through ID.me. On’s page does not mention SheerID, UNiDAYS, Student Beans or any other verification service, so ID.me is the only route On publishes. Compare other brands in our military, student and teacher discount lists.

How you get the code

  • Start the verification from the link on On’s Community Discounts page, which hands you off to ID.me. Confirm your email if ID.me asks.
  • Once verified, you receive a single-use code and enter it at checkout.
  • Each person can request a code up to twice per month. Codes are non-transferable.

What the code can and can’t be used on

  • Online only. The code works on on.com or in the On app. It is not valid in On stores.
  • Excluded products: Limited Edition Collections, Last Season products and gift cards.
  • No combining. It can’t be paired with other promotions, used against shipping costs or applied to past orders.
  • Order cap. The order must total $575 USD (or $800 CAD) or less before the discount is applied.
  • Returns. If you return a discounted item, the refund is the discounted price you paid, not the full price.

How much is it?

On’s page does not print a percentage. It says the discount value “is subject to change” and points you to ID.me for the current figure. We could not load the ID.me offer page without signing in, so we are not quoting a number. If you see a specific percentage on another site, treat it as unconfirmed until ID.me shows it to you after verification.

For other brands that run military or healthcare programs through ID.me, see our Nike military, student and teacher discount explainer, the nurse and healthcare discounts master list, and our FIGS student, military and referral offers guide.

Refer a friend: 10% off for both of you

On’s referral page says that when you recommend On to a friend, “you both enjoy 10% off.” That page is the only part of the referral program we could load, so we can’t tell you the minimum order, whether the 10% excludes Last Season or limited items, how long the friend’s code lasts, or when the referrer’s reward arrives. Check the terms shown in your account before you count on it.

Newsletter, account and On app offers

  • Newsletter. The sign-up box in On’s site footer promises “exclusive offers and product previews.” It does not name a welcome discount, so we don’t list one.
  • On account and app. On’s mobile app page says an account brings exclusive access to promotions and new launches, plus a birthday reward. It gives no amounts and no download discount.

The Last Season section: On’s sale area

On’s markdowns sit in a section called Last Season, which covers older models and colorways of shoes and apparel for men and women, including Cloud, Cloudmonster and waterproof styles. Prices drop without a code. For example, the Men’s Cloudmonster product page listed a “Last season” colorway at $135, down from $170.

Two rules matter here:

  • Refund only, no exchange. On’s product pages say limited editions and Last Season items “can only be refunded, but are not exchangeable due to limited stock.” If the size is wrong, you return it and reorder, if your size is still in stock.
  • No Community Discount. The ID.me code excludes Last Season products, so you can’t stack the two.

Retailers that carry On sometimes run their own promotions; our DICK’S Sporting Goods promo code guide, Foot Locker promo code guide and Journeys promo code guide explain how those stores’ programs work. Whether a given promotion covers On products is up to each store.

Shipping and returns

  • Shipping. On’s U.S. product pages state “Free shipping on all orders over $50.” The shipping FAQ didn’t render for us, so we can’t list the charge below $50, expedited options or delivery times.
  • Returns. On’s product pages state “Free returns within 90 days.” The returns FAQ also didn’t load, so we couldn’t confirm wear conditions (for example, whether shoes worn outdoors are accepted) or refund timing.

Gift cards

On sells digital gift cards in $10, $25, $50, $75, $100, $150, $200 and $400 amounts. They arrive by email, can’t be returned, and On says the vouchers don’t expire. The Community Discount code can’t be used to buy gift cards.

Cyclon: what’s left of the subscription, plus resale, trade-in and recycling

Cyclon started as a subscription for recyclable shoes. On’s recycling page now describes it as a circular services program and says returning shoes no longer requires a subscription.

  • Cyclon Resale. A shop of pre-owned On gear that has been inspected and graded, plus “Lap 2” items: products that were returned or rejected for minor flaws On says don’t affect performance. Items graded excellent, very good or good are resold. We couldn’t load resale prices.
  • Trade-in. Send back used On shoes and apparel, whether gently worn or worn out. The trade-in page says you’ll earn at least $5 in credit. Items that can’t be resold are donated (On names Soles4Souls as one partner) or recycled. The page doesn’t say how or where the credit can be spent.
  • Recycling Cyclon shoes. Worn-out Cloudneo, Cloudrise Cyclon, Cloudrise Cyclon 1.1, Cyclon-T and Cloudeasy Cyclon shoes can be sent back for recycling into material for new parts.

The honest math

  • Last Season, no code. The Men’s Cloudmonster “Last season” colorway at $135 versus its $170 listed price saves $35, about 21%. Because it’s refund-only, sizing mistakes cost you a return and a reorder.
  • Referral 10%. On a Men’s Cloud 6 at its listed $160, 10% off is $16, so you’d pay $144 before tax (if the referral terms allow that product, which we couldn’t confirm).
  • Community Discount, hypothetical. On doesn’t publish the percentage. Purely as an illustration, a hypothetical 10% would take that $160 Cloud 6 to $144. Check the real figure in ID.me before you compare it to a Last Season price.
  • The $575 cap. Three pairs of $160 Cloud 6 ($480) fit under the pre-discount cap. A fourth pair brings the order to $640, over the limit, so the code would not apply to that order.

If the model you want is in Last Season, compare that price with the full-price version minus your Community Discount, since the two can’t be combined.

How to save at On without a coupon

  • Check Last Season first for the model you want, and compare the product details with the current version before buying.
  • If you qualify, verify once through ID.me. The code is single-use, but you can request one up to twice a month.
  • Keep orders above $50 for free shipping.
  • Get sizing right before buying from Last Season, since those items can only be refunded, not exchanged.
  • Trade in old On shoes through Cyclon for at least $5 in credit rather than tossing them.

What we could not verify

  • The Community Discount percentage. On’s page says it’s subject to change and defers to ID.me, and the ID.me offer page required sign-in.
  • Referral program terms: minimum order, exclusions, code expiration and when the referrer’s 10% is issued.
  • Whether the newsletter gives a welcome discount, and the value of the app’s birthday reward and “exclusive promotions.”
  • Shipping cost below $50, expedited options and delivery times. The shipping FAQ rendered blank for us.
  • Return conditions beyond “free returns within 90 days,” including whether worn shoes are accepted. The returns FAQ rendered blank.
  • Whether On offers price adjustments or price matching. We found no published policy on the pages that loaded.
  • Resale prices in the Cyclon shop, and how and where trade-in credit can be spent.

FAQ

Is there an On Cloud discount code that works for everyone?

On doesn’t publish one. The codes On issues are personal: the ID.me Community Discount code and the 10% referral reward. Last Season pricing needs no code.

Does On have a military discount?

Yes. Military members in the U.S. and Canada can verify through ID.me for a single-use Community Discount code for on.com or the On app. On does not publish the percentage.

Does On have a student discount?

Students are one of the six eligible groups in the same ID.me program, with the same rules: online only, up to two codes a month, $575 pre-discount cap, Last Season and limited editions excluded.

Can I use the ID.me code on Last Season shoes?

No. On’s terms exclude Last Season products, Limited Edition Collections and gift cards.

Does On still offer the Cyclon subscription?

On’s recycling page says Cyclon now runs as a circular services program and that returning shoes no longer requires a subscription. It now centers on resale, trade-in and recycling.

Where this information comes from

Everything above comes from On’s own pages: the Community Discounts page, the refer-a-friend page and site footer, the On mobile app page, the Men’s Cloud 6 and Men’s Cloudmonster product pages (prices and the shipping and returns notes), the digital gift card page, the Cyclon program page, the Cyclon recycling page, and the Cyclon trade-in page. On’s help FAQ pages, terms and conditions, and Last Season listing did not render for us; gaps are listed under “What we could not verify.” We did not run a checkout test, we invented no codes, and nothing here comes from coupon sites.
